A major accident and fire broke out on the main Ajmer Road in Vancrota area of Jaipur this morning. Four people died in the fire and around 40 vehicles including trucks and trolleys were burnt. The fire broke out when several vehicles collided near the petrol pump. Officials are working to put out the fire.
Speaking to ANI, Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Kumar said, “There was a terrible accident and fire in Vancrota area of Jaipur. The accident happened this morning on the main Ajmer Road.

“The fire started after several vehicles collided one after the other. Efforts are being made to douse the fire,” SP Amit Kumar said.

He added, “The accident may have happened to a gas tanker, which may have fueled the fire. Several nearby vehicles also caught fire. Police, civil defense and fire brigade are working tirelessly to control the situation. Some casualties have been reported; we are trying to ascertain the details.” Trying to put it on.”
Jaipur district collector Jitendra Soni said, “Four people have died in the accident so far, and around 40 vehicles have caught fire. Many people have been injured.”

Petrol pump employee Moti Singh said, “The accident happened around 5 am when we were writing the account. We switched on and off, and suddenly we saw all the trucks on fire. The Naira pump was also on fire in front of us, we extinguished the fire using cylinders. .
“At that time, as far as we could see, the fire was spreading. Many vehicles that reached there were on fire, but we managed to control it at our site,” he added.
In a post on X, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his concern and said, “The incident of petrol pump and chemical tanker fire on Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway is very alarming. There are many reports. I wish speedy recovery to all those injured in this accident.”
