Andhra Tourism Minister says steps are being taken to protect ancient monuments

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh said on Sunday (August 8) that the government is committed to protecting the ancient and cultural heritage of the province.

Speaking to the media after visiting the famous Siddhavatam Fort here on Sunday, he spoke about the glory of the 2-year-old Matali ruler.n.d century AD, who ruled the region with Siddhavatam as his capital.

He said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan had given clear instructions on the necessary steps to promote tourism in the state, indicating that infrastructure development would be under Public Private Partnership (PPP). Model by roping investors.

Mr. Durgesh announced that he would open a restaurant in Siddhavatam and run safaris and boats to attract tourists and bring it under the purview of the larger tourism circuit.
