Drawing reference from the Mahabharata’s Eklavya-guru Dronacharya story, Leader of the Opposition (LOP) in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi trained guns on the NDA-ruled central government.

“Just like Guru Dronacharya cut the finger of Eklavya, the central government is cutting the finger of the youth,” he claimed.

“When BJP gives Dharavi to Adani, you are cutting the finger of small traders. By giving him port, airport, you are cutting the finger of honest businesses,” Gandhi said.

Quoting Veer Savarkar, the LoP added, “The worst thing about the Constitution of India is that there is nothing Indian about it. The Manusmriti is the most revered scripture for our Hindu nation after the Vedas and from which our antiquity is based. Our culture, This book has codified the spiritual and divine journey of our nation for centuries. These are Savarkar’s words.”

LoP talks about ‘Abhay Mudra’

Addressing the Lower House, Lopi Gandhi said, “In the last few speeches I talked about the concept of Abhay Mudra, the concept of fearlessness, truth and non-violence and I showed the House images showing the currency of our various religions. The world’s longest constitution contains a set of philosophical ideas of the country.

Rahul Gandhi was speaking during the Constitution debate, when the House sat on a non-working day to conduct the debate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address the Constitution on behalf of the Center in the Lok Sabha today.
