Some parts of Tamil Nadu, especially in the North, may experience intermittent rain of moderate intensity till Friday (December 27, 2024).

Various districts of northern Tamil Nadu woke up to wet weather on Thursday (December 26, 2024) due to the impact of a weak weather system over the Bay of Bengal.

The Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai has updated that on Tuesday (December 24, 2024) a well-marked low pressure area over southwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal over south Andhra Pradesh and north Tamil Nadu coast has now weakened. same area.

Places like Chennai’s Villivakkam (3 cm), Nungambakkam, Nandanam, Pallikaranai, Meenambakkam and Ennore (2 cm each), and Cuddalore, Ranipet and Puducherry recorded light rainfall in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Thursday.

The RMC has forecast light to moderate rain with thundershowers over the state, Puducherry and Karaikal regions till Friday. This will be the last spell of rain before the weather system moves away from the region.

Light rain may occur at one or two places in the state till the end of the month. Chennai is also likely to witness partly cloudy skies till Friday with light to moderate rain at some places.
