Christmas spirit prevailed in towns and cities of Kalyan Karnataka and Kittoor districts of Karnataka on Wednesday with religious fervor and goodwill by Christians.

Unlike last year, when fears of a new version of Covid-19 created an atmosphere of anxiety during Christmas, this year the celebrations were more lively and festive.

As per tradition, apart from worship, feeding the poor, cultural programs and carol singing were also part of the celebration.

In Dharwad, where the Basel Mission was established in 1836, Christmas celebrations were celebrated in the twin cities of Hubballi-Dharwad.

The traditional lighted star was placed prominently in front of households, churches and commercial establishments.

Areas inhabited mainly by Christians were brightened and brightened by residents’ welfare associations.

Malls and commercial establishments in the central business district were also decorated to celebrate the Christmas spirit, with Christmas trees welcoming visitors.

Big restaurants are not far behind. Bakeries and shops selling cakes, puddings, chocolates and sweets and shops selling greeting cards did good business in this area.
