A female student was bitten by a snake in class, the Kerala government has ordered an investigation

The Kerala government has ordered an inquiry into the case of a female student being bitten by a snake in the classroom of an aided school in Neyyatinkara, Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday (December 21, 2024).

A class VII student was reportedly bitten by a venomous snake while celebrating Christmas at an upper primary school on Friday (December 20, 2024).

Condition stable

He was immediately rushed to a nearby government hospital and his condition is now stable, sources said.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Minister of General Education V. Sivankutty said that the director general of education has been directed to investigate the incident and submit a report at the earliest.
