The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) will host an open house on January 3 and 4, where visitors can explore the laboratories and research centers. Around 60 stalls will showcase the best research and products.
Open House is a special initiative under the vision of the institute Anaivarukum IIT-M (IIT-M for All). Aspirants can register before December 25 through shaastra.org/open-house.
Visitors can explore four national research centers and 11 institute research centers, 15 centers of excellence and 90 advanced laboratories besides.
Satyanarayan N Gummadi, Dean (Students) said, the open house will be a unique opportunity for people to visit the campus and motivate the younger generation. The Institute expects more than 60,000 spectators to watch the two-day event from January 3 to 7 along with Shastra.
Associate Curriculum Adviser Murugayan Amritalingam said the visitors will get a first-hand experience of the institute’s state-of-the-art facilities.
