National School Games: Andhra won three silver and one bronze in karate

Director of School Education Vijay Rama Raju congratulated the athletes who won silver and bronze medals in the National School Games on Wednesday.

In a statement, Andhra Pradesh School Sports Federation Secretary G Bhanumurthy Raju said that students from the state won three silver and one bronze medal out of 68 in ‘Karate’ (under-14 category).^th National School Games to be held in Ludhiana, Punjab from December 11 to 17.

Mr. Vijay Rama Rao and State Project Director of Comprehensive Education B. Srinivasa Rao congratulated the winners at a function held on Wednesday.

Havesh, a class 8 student of Keshav Reddy English Medium School, Kurnool district, won silver in karate (under 14 years, 35 kg weight group) and Kurumetala Asmitha Gopagna, a class 7 student of Zilla Parishad Girls High School, Veldurthi, Kurnool district, won a silver medal. A silver (32-kg class). In the same category, Kadimi Divya Sai of class 8 of St. Joseph’s School, Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam district won the bronze medal.
