Describing Christmas as a celebration of love, compassion and service, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday, December 23, reiterated the government’s resolve to ensure the welfare of Christians.

Participating in the ‘Semi-Christmas’ function at the A Plus Convention Hall in Vijayawada, Mr. Naidu assured continued support for the welfare and safety of the state’s minority communities, especially Christians.

“The life of Jesus Christ is a symbol of humility and sacrifice. He dedicated his life to the service of humanity. His teachings inspire us to walk the path of peace and love,” said the Chief Minister and praised the Christian missionaries for their historic contribution to education and healthcare in the region.

The Chief Minister said that Rs 10 crore has been allocated for the construction of a Christian building in Guntur, which has been stalled for a long time.

He promised to establish a Christian Missionary Property Development Board to support the restoration of churches and related infrastructure projects. “Despite the severe financial challenges inherited from the previous government, we are determined to prioritize welfare schemes,” he said.
