Chief Secretary A. Santi Kumari has directed to speed up solar and other projects aimed at empowering women self-help groups (SHGs) across the state. In the first phase, she has directed the authorities to work on time to set up solar energy centers on 231 acres of leased land in five districts. He emphasized that the project should be completed within the next 6 months.
In a high-level review meeting called to assess the progress of various schemes under Mahila Shakti Program at the Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Secretary asked the authorities to intensify efforts to facilitate the SHGs to procure 150 electric buses and transfer them to Telangana state. Road Transport Corporation (TGRTC).
Additionally, Ms. Santi Kumari directed the authorities to ensure the completion of district association buildings by June 2025 to strengthen the operational framework of women’s groups. She also announced the organization Saras Mela The event, which will be held on January 25 at Indira Mahila Shakti Bazar in Madhpur, will provide a platform for exhibiting and selling products made by women entrepreneurs.
Chief Minister A. Highlighting Revanth Reddy’s vision of transforming SHG members into successful entrepreneurs, the Chief Secretary asked the officials to intensify their efforts to achieve this goal. Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Secretary Lokesh Kumar, Commissioner Creation, and Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty CEO Divya Devarajan were present in the meeting.
