17th batch of EPGP starts at IIM-K

The 17th batch of the Executive Post Graduate Program (EPGP) began at the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) on Tuesday. Hailed as a top-tier MBA for working professionals, 548 students registered for it this year.

Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman of Capacity Building Commission and former Chairman of McKinsey India was the chief guest at the induction ceremony. IIM-K Director Prof. Debashis Chatterjee presided over the programme.

The current cohort recorded 26% female participants, the highest gender diversity the program has ever seen. The batch collectively represents more than 150 organizations and more than 50% of the batch is constituted of participants in the age group of 30 to 39.

Candidates represent diverse sectors like IT/Software, Public Sector, Energy, Aerospace, Education, Consulting, Manufacturing, Automotive, Accounting, Banking, and Insurance etc. Candidates with six to nine years of experience form 30% of the batch. The average work experience of the cohort stands at around 10 years.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Adil Jainulbhai encouraged the MBA aspirants to reinvent themselves by focusing on developing a learning mindset to discover the joy of ‘creating’ and ‘building’ for a self-reliant India by 2047.

EPGP is a two-year master’s program in management leading to an MBA degree offered on an interactive learning platform.
