Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Group-II examination held in 33 districts was marked by poor attendance. Out of 5 lakh 51 thousand 855 candidates, only 46.75 percent participated in question paper 2 in the morning session and 46.30 percent appeared in question paper 2 in the afternoon.
Considering current affairs and English subject, the question paper proved to be challenging. “The paper had 360-degree coverage of current affairs with 36-38 questions,” said Sai Priya Ann, an aspirant.
The English section consisting of 19-22 questions on Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension was described more rigorously than previous years.
“Continuous preparation in coaching-focused strategies was rewarded by the paper,” said Gopal Krishna, director of the coaching center. The experts emphasized analytical skills with questions covering geography, history, politics, logic and international relations.
Meanwhile, a candidate who tried to cheat using a mobile phone was arrested. A female student studying in the examination center code 4419 was found to be hiding a foldable mobile phone in her undergarment during regular checks.
