Officials including the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Zone 2 and the Assistant Commissioner of Traffic Police of Wakad said that permission could not be granted as they had reached the spot. The traffic branch and the office of Zone 2 had sent written letters to the organizers denying permission on December 2 and 11. Meanwhile, the state excise department had also denied the permit for liquor in the event. The owner of the venue also told the organizers that the event cannot be held without the permission of the administration.
