Visakhapatnam: Two students from Visakhapatnam area have been found dead under suspicious circumstances, the police have taken up the investigation.
In Akkayapalem, 13-year-old Aarush Aman committed suicide at his grandfather’s house. Police suspect addiction to horror movies and online gaming as contributing factors. The case has been registered.
10-year-old Vanthala Manoj, missing for two weeks, has been found dead in ASR district. Although the police identified the body from his clothes, Manoj’s parents disputed the matter. The investigation is ongoing.
Eye injury to pharma worker after throwing detergent
Visakhapatnam: Mani Shankar (29), a cleaner of a pharmaceutical company located in Parwada mandal of Annakapally district, got an eye injury when he accidentally got detergent in his eyes while mopping the floor. He was admitted to LV Prasad Hospital in Visakhapatnam and is now recovering after discharge.
Ankapalli SP Tuhin Sinha clarified that the incident was not related to pharma chemicals and only detergent was involved.
Situ District Vice President Gani Shetty criticized accidents in the pharmaceutical industry saying that many people have died this year. He demanded a comprehensive security audit and strict adherence to security protocols to prevent such incidents from happening. Shetty urged the government to hold the negligent management accountable and ensure the safety of workers in the industry.
Three killed, two injured in road accident in Srikakulam
Visakhapatnam: Three members of a family, including two women, were killed and two others injured in a car accident near Peddakojiria junction in Srikakulam. The car heading towards Odisha lost control due to excessive speed and fatigue of the driver and crashed into a cement electricity pole.
Among those who died, Kadirisetty Someshwar Rao (48), M. Lavanya (43) and Sneha Gupta (18). The injured are being treated at Sompeta Hospital. Authorities have launched an investigation.
Ministers Kondapalli Srinivas and Kinjrapu Atchanayadu expressed condolences and directed to improve the treatment of the injured.
