Australian batsman Travis Head said he was disappointed with the farewell and celebration of India fast bowler Mohammad Siraj on the second day of the pink ball Test in Adelaide on Saturday.
Siraj dismissed the left-hander at the end of the stumps when Head, who had disappointed the crowd with a thrilling century that propelled Australia to a first-innings lead over India, was batting on 140 off several balls. A heated exchange followed as Siraj exchanged a few words and nodded towards the dugout.
“I said I bowled well but he thought otherwise … when he pointed at me in the shed he backed away from me a bit,” Head told broadcasters after the day’s play.

“I’m a little disappointed with how it went with the last few innings.”
“It is what it is. If that’s how they want to respond and that’s how they want to represent themselves, then so be it,” Head added.
Head had some reprieve in his stroke-laden innings, one of which came in the form of a dropped catch as Siraj batted for 76. Siraj’s animated antics after his dismissal immediately angered Head’s hometown crowd in Adelaide, who booed him constantly. Back to the bowl.
