HyderabadOn Thursday, the Mailardevpally police arrested two women and sent them to judicial custody on the charge of murdering a 40-year-old man at the Mailardevpally police station. On Tuesday morning, a GHMC employee found the body of the man stuffed in an ammunition bag.
The deceased’s wife Rusham Khatun (35) and her sister Ravina Bibi were arrested. The deceased, MD Mumtaz Alam, a resident of Bihar, was working in a chicken shop here.
It is said that Alam is addicted to alcohol and beats his wife daily. Unable to bear the abuse, his wife planned to kill him. She called her sister at home on Monday night. Two people strangled Alam with a rope saying that he was in a drunken state.
On Tuesday morning, the two women boarded an unknown passenger auto from Durga Chowk and threw the gunpowder bag filled with the dead body on the Aramgarh main road. Police arrested both with the help of CCTV footage.
