The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) of the Ministry of Energy has called for a nationwide movement to combat climate change and protect the environment on a sustainable basis.
In this regard, BEE Media Adviser (South) A Chandra Shekhar Reddy met Special Chief Secretary (Energy) K Vijayanand at the Secretariat during the National Energy Conservation Week and discussed the necessary communication strategies.
Shri Vijayananda highlighted the State’s commitment to implementation of energy efficiency measures, green energy generation and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
He said that the government will leave no stone unturned to deal with the adverse effects of climate change by focusing on Mission Life. He said that efforts are being made to attract large investments in the energy efficiency program.
During the meeting, Mr. Vijayananda released a poster on the importance of addressing climate change for a balanced environment. AP State Energy Conservation Mission CEO BAVP Kumar Reddy was present.
