Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president MK Stalin expressed confidence ahead of the 2026 assembly elections and said the party would form the government for the seventh time in the state, this time with an alliance of 200 seats.

Addressing party workers in the Kanchipuram constituency today, CM Stalin emphasized DMK’s commitment to public welfare over the past three years, while highlighting the implementation of various schemes “unparalleled by other state governments” in the country.

The DMK-led alliance came to power in 2021 by winning a whopping 159 of the state’s 234 seats in the last assembly elections.

“Our goal is to form our DMK government for the seventh time (in the state). Our alliance will win in 200 constituencies. The victory is ours in 2026. In the last 3 years, we have been working for the welfare of the people. After the state government in India made our alliance an ideological alliance in 2019, we He said that we have achieved victory in assembly elections, parliamentary elections and local body elections.

“Many are making political calculations against our ideological alliance. I firmly say that all those calculations against our ideological alliance will be wrong. Our alliance will triumph,” Stalin said.

Earlier today, the Chief Minister held a high-level executive meeting in which senior leaders including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and more than 800 high-level executive members participated.

Chief Minister Stalin participated in the meeting held at the party headquarters at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai.

The DMK passed 12 resolutions which were read by former Rajya Sabha member, DMK leader TKS Elangovan, who praised Chief Minister Stalin and Tamil Nadu government ministers for their efforts to implement precautionary measures during Cyclone ‘Fengal’.

During the meeting, the DMK condemned Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s alleged ‘insulting’ comments about BR Ambedkar during the debate on the Constitution in the Rajya Sabha.
