Suriya 45 Cast Updates: From Trisha and Shivada to Swasika, Natti and Yogi Babu, director RJ Balaji has assembled a strong and talented ensemble. Tamil News

Brushing past the results of KangwaSurya is hoping to win gold with his upcoming 44th and 45th films. Although he has completed shooting for Karthik Subbaraj’s ‘Suriya 44’, he is currently working on ‘Suriya 45’ directed by actor-filmmaker RJ Balaji. The film, which went on floors earlier this month, saw a major change in the team with AR Rahman stepping aside from the composing responsibilities, and the latest music sensation Sai Abhyankar taking over the helm. For the past few days, the makers have been sharing updates about the cast of the film.

The project, backed by Dream Warrior Pictures, is set to reunite the blockbuster duo of Suriya and Trisha. Coincidentally, Trisha recently celebrated 22 years as a leading actor in Tamil cinema, starting with Suriya’s Maunam Pesiyathe (2002). They starred together in one more film Aaru (2005) and Suriya appeared in a special dance number with Trisha in Manmadhan Ambu later. Apart from Trisha, RJ Balaji played the lead role in Lubbar Pandu fame Swasika.

Other important actors are also included the sun 45 Yogis are Babu and Indran. Although the veteran Malayalam actor has earlier acted in Adum Kuthu and Nanbaan, Suriya 45 marks his first film in Tamil after he transitioned into a real actor, who excelled only in comic roles. Another interesting addition to the cast that impressed netizens is Shivada, who is fresh off the success of her role in this year’s blockbuster hit Garudaan. Suriya 45 has many such new pairings, including the presence of cinematographer-actor Natty, who seems to be a part of every big-ticket film in Tamil cinema.

The cast includes Suprith Reddy and Angha Maya Ravi, and interestingly, the latter played the lead role of Mammootty and Jyothika’s daughter in Kaathal.

The film, directed by GK Vishnu in his first non-Atlee effort in Tamil, is expected to hit the screens in 2025.
