State-of-the-art BC study circle coming up in Amravati, says minister Savita

BC Welfare Minister S. Savita said on Wednesday that free coaching will soon be provided in the state to backward class youth aspiring for civil services.

Speaking after inaugurating the BC Study Circle at Gollapudi near Vijayawada, the Minister said free coaching was provided to 110 candidates in the first phase to enable BC category youths to crack and pass civil services examinations. She said that these 110 candidates were shortlisted out of 600 applicants based on the aptitude test. Selected candidates will be trained in a residential setup where they will be provided with free food and accommodation, she said.

The Minister informed that a permanent structure is being constructed for BC Study Circle on five acres of land in Amravati to accommodate 500 candidates and informed that the candidates of the upcoming batch will be trained in a permanent building in Amravati.

Ms. Savita said that experts would be deployed to train the interested candidates and added that the new coaching center would be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like digital classrooms, digital libraries, reading rooms and discussion rooms. Apart from the synergy in quality teaching faculty, candidates will also be given study material.

The minister said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, with the support of Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan and HRD Minister Nar Lokesh, was working on policies that would benefit the backward classes in their all-round development.

Mentioning that a budget of ₹ 39,000 crore has been allocated for BC welfare, she said she is working tirelessly to fulfill her promise of creating 20 lakh jobs for the youth in the state. As part of addressing the unemployment problem, the government had released Mega DSC to recruit 16,347 teaching posts in government schools across the state, she said. To benefit candidates from the BC segment, free DSC coaching centers were set up in every district across the state, she said.
