Hyderabad: Doctors at Kim’s Hospital on Tuesday informed that the nine-year-old boy Sreetej is maintaining stable vital parameters on his own without any oxygen or ventilator support.
Dr. Chetan R. Mundada and Dr. Vishnu Tej Pudi said in a statement that the boy’s sensorium showed similarities in spontaneous eye opening and limb movement, but still no meaningful eye contact or recognition of family members.
“The boy is awake to verbal stimulation but does not follow any verbal commands. He has sudden dystonic movements and stiffness in his limbs for which medication is given,” said the doctors, adding that the boy needs suction between the tracheostomy tube.
“Sritej is suffering from a rash from the nasogastric tubewell and has been feverish for the past three days,” they added.
