Chief Minister Manik Shah on Sunday said that many projects to connect Tripura with Bangladesh have been delayed due to the chaos in neighboring countries.
Shah said this while laying the foundation stone of seven different projects in Udaipur of South Tripura district.
The Chief Minister of Tripura said that Maitri Setu, which was built on Feni River to connect both the countries, was ready but could not be used.

Meanwhile, speaking about the steps taken by his government to improve the condition of the tribals, Chief Minister Shah said, ‘With the help of the World Bank, the state government has been implementing various projects worth 1400 crore rupees for the socio-economic development of the tribals. .” He added that the state government has allocated Rs 7,000 crore for infrastructure development.
Sah expressed concern about the increasing drug addiction in the state and announced that at least one drug addiction center would be established in all the eight districts of the state.
200 crore has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) for these de-addiction centers, he added.
