The Haryana School Education Department All government and private schools have been instructed to switch Hybrid learning mode For all classes except Class 10 and 12, effective immediately. The move prioritizes student safety amid poor air quality in the Delhi-NCR region. This decision aligns with Phase IV measures under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) to combat hazardous pollution levels.
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has also issued instructions to schools in Faridabad and Gurugram to conduct online classes wherever possible.

The official notification said, “All the actions envisaged under Phase-IV of the latest GRAP Schedule issued by the Commission vide order dated 13.12.2024 will be implemented with immediate effect by all agencies of the entire NCR. From Phase-I of the Revised GRAP Schedule (December 2024) Actions under Phase-III are already in place.
Accordingly, heads of all government schools. And private schools in Faridabad and Gurugram districts of the state have been instructed to conduct classes in ‘hybrid mode’ i.e. both physical and online mode (where online mode is possible) in schools for children up to class IX and XI. Schools were previously closed for students up to grade 6 due to air quality concerns
Earlier, schools in Gurugram were ordered closed for students up to Class 5 due to poor air quality and implementation of Phase III restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). This measure was implemented to protect young children from the harmful effects of pollution. Classes for students above Class 5 continued in hybrid mode, providing flexibility to parents and schools. The decision was part of wider efforts to address the acute air quality crisis while reducing disruption to education across Delhi-NCR.
