Sanath Nagar TIMS will be inaugurated on Telangana Formation Day 2025, the minister said

Roads and Buildings Minister, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Tuesday announced that the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) being constructed at Sanath Nagar will be inaugurated by Chief Minister A Revantha Reddy on June 2, 2025 on Telangana Formation Day.

Besides inspecting the construction work being done at TIMS, the minister while addressing the media said that the government’s goal is to provide world-class treatment services to the underprivileged. “We are working at a fast pace to complete the construction and provide superior medical facilities surpassing the standards of private healthcare,” he said.

The minister announced that a nodal officer would be appointed to coordinate between the road and building department and the health department to complete the hospital on time. He said that a joint meeting of officials of both departments will be called within a few days to finalize the roadmap for the rest of the work.

He directed officials to create wider pick-up and drop zones to save crucial time for patients. He also revealed plans for an advanced surveillance system to speed up emergency care, which he described as crucial to saving lives during the “golden hour”.

Giving more information about the infrastructure of the hospital, the minister said that a state-of-the-art hostel is being constructed and the OPD registration room has been computerized to facilitate patient appointments. “The radiology, MRI, CT scan, and emergency wards are designed to meet the highest standards of care,” he said.
