Sanatan Dharma is India’s “national religion”, and protecting it is the “collective responsibility of every citizen,” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Ayodhya on Friday.
Reflecting on the attacks on temples in the past, Adityanath said that the sect of those who desecrated these holy places was their downfall.
He said, ‘Today Aurangzeb’s children pulled a rickshaw. Their plight is the result of their destructive actions. If they had upheld righteousness and refrained from destroying temples, would they have been in this situation?”
He reiterated that Sanatan Dharma is “eternal” and has existed since the beginning of creation and is the key to establishing world peace.
