Rachakonda Police has announced a comprehensive plan to ensure public safety, law and order and smooth traffic during New Year’s Eve (December 31).
Several measures have been put in place to prevent untoward incidents, including strict monitoring of drug-related activities and advanced security protocols, Rachakonda Commissioner G. Sudhir Babu said.
Efforts to curb drug and alcohol abuse will include intensified surveillance in high-risk areas, with sniffer dogs deployed as deterrents at key locations. Strict measures have been taken to prevent the detection and flow of illegal substances. “Gated communities will also be closely monitored, and senior officers, along with regional night duty teams, will oversee operations throughout the night,” he said.
The police will prioritize road safety and take action against vandalism as well as prevent anti-social activities. Special drives will be taken targeting violations like triple riding, over speeding and rush driving. Vehicle checks will be recorded, checkpoints will be clearly marked using reflective signage. SHE teams will be present to address incidents of eve-teasing, and special teams will be on standby for emergencies.
