The film had the best ever opening for an Indian film, earning Rs 165 crore domestically on its first day and Rs 294 crore worldwide. It also beat Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2, Sunny Deol’s Ghadar 2, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan as second-week top earners at the Hindi box office.
In a remarkable achievement, Pushpa 2 became the fastest film to cross Rs 500 crore in its Hindi version by achieving this milestone on its second Sunday (11 days).
