The ‘Pandhakal’ installation ceremony for the 178th Aradhana of the saint musician Sri Thyagaraja was held at Thiruvaiyaru in Thanjavur district on Sunday.
The annual Tyagaraj Aradhana festival will be held in Tiruvaiyaru from 14th to 18th of January. The statue of Shree Tyagaraj has been specially consecrated and lit. Trustees of Tyaga Brahma Mahotsav Sabha, Chandrasekhar Mupnar, Suresh Mupnar and others participated in the program.
The festival begins with Happy Christian And a musical concert after the opening ceremony on January 14 evening. On the day of Pushya Bahula Panchami, the main event is on January 18, in which musicians will sing songs.
