Hyderabad:Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy met Sritej’s father at the hospital on Saturday and handed over a check of Rs 25 lakh from the Komatireddy Prateek Foundation, set up after his late son. During the premiere show of the movie Pushpa-2, Sritej was seriously injured due to a stampede at the Sandhya theater. His mother Revathi died on the spot in the accident.
Komatireddy spoke to Sritej’s father Bhaskar and inquired about his son’s health condition. The minister assured Bhaskar that he will help his son till he recovers completely. Bhaskar’s wife Revathi gave life to her husband by donating his liver. He also promised to pay for the liver transplant from CMRF.
“As a father, the responsibility to protect two children is to take care of his (Sritej’s) health. I support the family financially. Movies make people happy, but loss of life is sad,” the minister remarked.
Later, Komatireddy inquired about the boy’s health condition with the doctors and other medical teams and asked for medical help for the boy’s recovery.
