Mayawati hits out at Amit Shah over his comments on Ambedkar Lucknow News

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati hit out at Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday and said she should apologize for her statement about BR Ambedkar.

If not, the BSP will hold protests across the country on December 24, she said.

In a series of posts on X in Hindi, Mayawati said, “Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the author of the original book, as an ultra-humanitarian and welfare constitution for the self-respect and human rights of deprived Dalits, and other neglected people of the country. People are worshiped like God. The disrespect of Shri Amit Shah has hurt people’s hearts.

She said that the people of all sections of the country were very angry and outraged by the words spoken about such great men in Parliament.

“The Ambedkarist BSP has demanded that he withdraw his statement and repent, which has not been done so far,” she said.

The BSP chief said that if the demand is not met, the BSP will raise its voice all over the country.

Therefore, the party has decided to hold a nationwide protest on November 24 in support of this demand. On that day, a peaceful sit-in demonstration will be held in all the district headquarters across the country,’ she said.
