The National People’s Court held in the province on 14th November has successfully resolved 38,80,881 cases including 2,45,189 pending in various courses and 36,35,692 pre-litigation cases in various public bodies.
A day-long Lok Adalat organized by the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) reunited 307 quarreling couples seeking amicable resolution of 1,581 matrimonial cases.
Karnataka High Court Judge and KSLSA Executive President Justice V. Kameshwar Rao told reporters that 5,168 motor vehicle accident claim cases were decided to the satisfaction of claimants and insurance companies and resulted in total compensation awarded. of ₹309 crore.
A total of 5,033 cases filed for the implementation of various court orders in land acquisition, vehicle accident cases, etc., have been paid to the beneficiaries-plaintiffs during the Lok Adalat. It also witnessed the settlement of 3,331 partition cases between family members who were in dispute over the distribution of property.
The next national level Lok Adalat will be held on March 8, 2025.
