Karnataka draws inspiration from AP education reforms

Vijayawada:Inspired by Andhra Pradesh’s education reforms, Karnataka’s Institute of Educational Research and Training (DSERT) and some other organizations jointly launched Kannada-English Bilingual for government school students. Dictionary book has started.

It was launched in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Others involved in the initiative are Bala Raksha Bharat and Save the Children, led by the Karnataka Department of Comprehensive Education and School Education.

AP Holistic Education State Project Director, B Srinivasa Rao, virtually participated in the dictionary launch event. DSERT director Gopal Krishna released the bilingual dictionary.

Addressing the event, Srinivasa Rao shared his experiences in preparing Telugu-English bilingual dictionaries and school textbooks for students in AP schools.

He said the AP Education Department has focused its attention on basic learning and numeracy improvement, as well as enhancing students’ learning abilities through learning improvement programs and STEM-based educational initiatives.
