Karan Johar’s mother Hiru Johar has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. In a video, the director-producer is seen visiting her at the hospital along with celebrity fashion designer Manish Malhotra. He was reportedly admitted on Friday.
Paparazzo Viral Bhayani shared a video of him meeting Karan and Manish at the hospital on Saturday. He also said that there was no cause for concern. The caption on the side of the video reads, “Family members assure us there is no cause for concern. We wish him a speedy recovery.” In his caption, he informed that Hiru Johar was admitted to the hospital on Friday.

Hiru Johar, 81, is also credited as a producer on Dharma Productions’ projects. Karan often shares pictures of himself with his children Yash and Ruhi. In 2021, Hiru underwent two surgeries over an eight-month period. He had spinal fusion surgery and a right knee replacement. Karan Johar shared this news on his Instagram handle.
Karan was last seen in the Netflix show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. He also co-produced the film Jigra starring Alia Bhatt. Last year, Karan made his directorial comeback after a long hiatus with the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi also had important roles in the film.
