In Maharashtra, the man who assaulted a tutor and robbed her of a gold chain was arrested Pune News

The Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested a man who robbed a tuition teacher of her gold chain by hitting her on the head with a hammer-like object. According to police, the arrested person is 34-year-old Ishwar Kailas Walhekar, a resident of Pimpri MIDC Buddhanagar.

Police said that the incident took place when the victim, who was about 50 years old, was entering the lift of the tuition building in Sangvi on January 19.

The woman was injured in the incident. The police team had launched a search for the accused, and examined CCTV camera footage around the crime scene and other locations. In the said footage, it is shown that the accused fled the scene on a motorcycle with a fake number plate.

The crime branch team identified and arrested the accused on Sunday. According to the police, investigations are being conducted to recover the stolen gold chain, the motorcycle he absconded with and the items used to attack the victim.
