The Indian Embassy in Berlin said on Monday (Dec 23, 2024) that it is in “close contact” with all the seven Indians who were injured in last week’s attack at the Magdeburg Christmas market in Germany.

Three Indians have been discharged, while the rest are undergoing treatment. The Mission is in regular contact with them. And actively providing necessary assistance @PMOIndia @DrSJaishankar @MEAIindia @diaspora_india @IndianDiplomacy,β the Indian Embassy posted on X.
Seven Indians were injured in the deadly car-ramming attack in the East German city of Magdeburg and the Indian Embassy in Berlin has extended all possible assistance to them, official sources said on Saturday night.
A 50-year-old man drove his car into a crowd at a Christmas market on Friday evening, killing at least five people, including a nine-year-old boy, and injuring around 200, German authorities said.
“We condemn this horrific and senseless attack,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday. “Many precious lives have been lost and many injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims,” ββit added.
