Jaipur: Five people were killed when a car collided with a bus in Rajasthan’s Karauli district, police said on Wednesday. Due to the collision, the car was badly damaged and the front part of the bus was trapped.
Karauli Superintendent of Police Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay informed that the accident took place in the car on the Salempur-Kudgaon road under the Kudgaon police station on Tuesday night, after visiting Kailadevi temple and going towards Gangapur city.
Nayan Deshmukh (60), his sister Preeti Bhatt (60), son Khush Deshmukh (22), daughter Manasvi (25) and relative Anita (55) died on the spot. SP said.
Kudgaon station house officer Rukmani Gurjar said the victims were residents of Indore in Madhya Pradesh. The body has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem.
“After the family members come today, the postmortem will be done,” she said.
