The survey will be conducted district-wise by District Urban Resource Center Coordinators (DURCCs), District Coordinators, and Integrated Education-Delhi teams led by the Inclusive Education Branch (IEB). The guidelines specify that survey teams will include an additional member, such as a resource person (CwSN) or a visiting special education teacher.
The survey will cover children below 6 years of age and in the age group of 6 to 19 years. It will operate daily from 9 am to 1 pm. The teams will wear official survey kits and ID cards with recognizable logos to gain the trust of residents and collect accurate information, it said.
The survey teams have to submit the daily records to the DURCC, which will be sent to the OoSC room at the overall education headquarters by 5 pm. A complete report signed by the coordination team and countersigned by the DURCC should be submitted to the overall education headquarters by January 15.
The department said that children identified during the survey, including CwSN, will be enrolled in schools by January 31. The final report of their admission will be submitted by February 7.
The District Coordinators (IEB) have been directed to ensure that the services of nannies, attendants and helpers are utilized for the implementation of home-based education (HBE) and door-to-door verification of CwSN outside the school during the winter holidays. , it read.
