On Thursday (December 26, 2024), another person was seriously injured in a fire at Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital, taking the death toll to 19 in a tanker fire in Rajasthan.
SMS Hospital Superintendent Dr. Sushil Bhati informed that on Thursday (December 26, 2024), one more person died in this terrible incident, bringing the total number of deaths to 19.
“Currently, 11 people are being treated in the hospital,” he said, adding that two or three of them are likely to be discharged on Thursday (December 26, 2024).
Lalaram (28), who died on Thursday (December 26, 2024), suffered 60 percent burns and was on a ventilator. Three more patients are on ventilators.
The body has been kept in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
Lalram’s friend Ramavatar said that there is a security guard in the IT company of the victim Mahindra Sage. He was on his way to work on his motorcycle when he caught fire.
βHe had the morning shift that day. He was a resident of Sanganer but shifted to Kanota area on Agra highway some time ago. He was on a motorcycle when the incident happened,’ Ramawatar said.
The victim was unmarried.
Three people who were injured in the incident died on Wednesday (December 25, 2024).
On December 20, an LPG tanker collided with a truck, setting off a huge fireball that turned a section of the Jaipur-Ajmer highway into an inferno. 11 people died on the day of the incident and four died later.
