The death toll in Saturday’s LPG tanker accident on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway has risen to 14, an official said here. According to him, more than 30 people who were burnt and injured in the terrible accident are being treated. “Five charred bodies were found yesterday. Eight others have died. So far 14 have died. 27 are being treated at SMS Hospital. Seven are on ventilators,” said Dr Sushil Bhati, Superintendent of Sawaiman Singh (SMS) Hospital. .
He said that the body of another person was taken to another hospital. Bhati said that the identification of the bodies of five people is yet to be done. More than 35 vehicles were gutted when a truck hit an LPG tanker in the Bancrota area of the highway on Friday morning.
