An arrest warrant has been issued against former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa in the Provident Fund (PF) fraud case.
The warrant was issued by PF Regional Commissioner Shadakshari Gopal Reddy, who asked the jurisdictional Pulakeshinagar police to take necessary action. “The warrant executed on December 4 has been withdrawn after it was found that Mr. Uthappa was not at the Pulakeshinagar residence,” officials said. However, everyone knows that the cricketer and his family now live in Dubai.
Mr. Uthappa, associated with Centuries Lifestyle Brands Pvt Ltd, is accused of deducting PF contributions from employees’ salaries but allegedly failing to deposit the amounts in their respective accounts.
