New Delhi: The Congress has announced the cancellation of all formal programs of the party, including its foundation day celebrations, for the next seven days as a mark of respect to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Congress general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Surjewala said the Congress has canceled the “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Constitution Rally” in Belgaum, Karnataka on Friday.
Congress general secretary in-charge organization KC Venugopal said that all official programs including the foundation day celebrations of the Indian National Congress have been canceled for the next seven days.
“This includes all agitation and outreach programmes. Party programs will resume on 3 January 2025. The party flag will be flown at half mast during this period of mourning,” Venugopal told X.
