A Chinese man was left in a well for three days by villagers after hearing ghostly voices and crying. The incident took place near the Thailand-Myanmar border. Liu Chuani, 22, was exploring the area when he fell into a well hidden by overgrown vegetation.
According to Deccan ChronicleThe villagers heard crying from the direction of the well and dismissed it as the voice of a ghost. By the time Chuani was rescued, he was weak, and had sustained serious injuries, including bruises, a brain injury, and a broken wrist. Reports also stated that Chuani screamed for help once every hour to conserve his energy.
Thailand’s The Universal Daily News reported that on November 24, local police in My Sot, Tak Province, near the Thai-Myanmar border, received complaints of strange cries coming from the forest. As police and rescue teams began searching the woods to investigate, they called out and heard voices in response. The rescue operation lasted for 30 minutes.
Officials have contacted immigration authorities to find out why Chuani was near the Thai-Myanmar border. Meanwhile, he is safe and the well is being sealed.
