BJP will come to power in 2029 elections: Purandeshwari

Kakinada: With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) poised to come to power in the 2029 elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has been credited with India’s progress through a “double-engine” government. Under Modi’s leadership, India has gone from the world’s 11th to the fifth largest economy, said Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha member and BJP state president.

Visakha Dairy president Adari Anand Kumar joined the BJP in the presence of Purandeshwari at the party office in Rajamahendrabharam on Wednesday. She praised Modi for providing a corruption-free government and strong decision-making ability. Responding to Home Minister Amit Shah’s criticism of the Congress, particularly regarding his alleged insult to BR Ambedkar, she pointed out that the Congress had insulted Ambedkar by defeating him in two elections. He also questioned why the Congress did not award Ambedkar the Bharat Ratna, while Modi had publicly acknowledged his contribution to his rise as Prime Minister.

Purandeshwari asked the new BJP members to maintain discipline, follow party principles and strengthen the organization in their areas. She said 2.5 lakh people voluntarily joined the BJP after being attracted by Modi’s rule. She also appreciated the central government’s financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh for construction of Amravati and Polavaram projects as well as other state incentives. He added that the people of the state had suffered under the previous YSRC government.
