Memory: The police have recovered 47 kg of ganja and 41.87 lakh cash from East Bardhaman district of West Bengal, an official said on Thursday.
Based on information, the police raided a cattle shed in Memari area on Wednesday and seized marijuana and cash.
Additional Superintendent of Police Arka Banerjee said, “One of the two sacks seized contained small and medium bags of marijuana, while the other contained a packet of one kg. We have also recovered more than Rs 41 lakh in cash.”
The cash was in denominations of Rs 500, 100 and Rs 20, Banerjee added.
