ACB arrests real estate agent who tried to bribe police officer Pune News

The Pune unit of the state’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a real estate agent who is facing a criminal case for allegedly bribing a police officer investigating the crime.

ACB has identified the accused as Hasan Ali Bartakke, 45, resident of Tadiwala Road. Assistant Police Inspector Nand Kumar Kadam has filed a complaint in this regard.

A press release issued by the ACB today said that the accused Bartakke is a real estate agent, against whom a case has been registered at Bundagarden Police Station under Sections 314, 316 (2), 318 (4) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). ).

The incident is being investigated by Assistant Police Inspector Nand Kumar Kadam of Bangarden police station. Therefore, it is alleged that Bartakke tried to bribe Kadam to avoid proper investigation of this crime.

Kadam filed a complaint against Bartakke at the ACB, Pune unit. After that, the ACB team laid a trap and arrested Bartakke red-handed while giving a bribe of Rs 2,000 to Kadam on Friday.

A new complaint has been registered against Bartakke under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Bundagarden police station. Police Inspector Prasad Lonare is investigating the incident further.
