On Friday (December 20, 2024), an armed gang killed a person near Tirunelveli District Court premises.
It is said that the deceased was attacked by four people when he came to the court for hearing the Mayandi case. The gang that came in the car stopped Myandi and hit him with a sickle before running away, killing him on the spot.
After receiving the news, the police recovered his body and sent it for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the audience arrested one of the attackers involved in the murder and handed it over to the police.
A case of murder has been registered and further investigation is underway.
