Death of Cooperative Bank Depositor: K. Surendran has demanded action and compensation for the family

BJP state president K Surendran has demanded strict action against those responsible for the suspicious suicide death of a depositor at the Rural Development Bank in Kattappana.

Mr. Surendran said the bank officials not only denied the depositor the money he invested in the bank, but also threatened and assaulted him.

He said that the incident cannot be dismissed as isolated.

Several co-operative banks in Kerala, including Nemom’s Karuvannur Co-operative Bank and Kandla Seva Co-operative Bank, have been involved in massive scams involving crores of rupees.

Surendran charged that the political leadership should be fully informed as these are bank scams and the cooperative department should take responsibility for it.

He said that the cooperative sector is a cash cow for the CPI(M), hence the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) leaders when the Center tries to tighten the rules. Co-operative sector.

Mr. Surendran demanded from the government to give proper compensation to the family of the deceased depositor Sabu and to return the deposit along with the deposit to the family.

He also demanded a detailed investigation into the co-operative scams going on across the state.
