Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government is gearing up to use artificial intelligence (AI) extensively to improve administrative efficiency.

K Dinesh Kumar, CEO, Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS), said this Thursday while attending an AI workshop at Google’s office in New Delhi.

Recently, Google and RTGS signed an agreement to collaborate on AI initiatives. As part of this, Google organized a workshop in Delhi to explore AI opportunities, use cases and its integration in government departments.

Dinesh Kumar and his team discussed AI’s global advances with Google executives, emphasizing its potential to transform government functions. He said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wanted to use AI to make government more transparent, efficient and accessible to the people.

“The state government aims to simplify the delivery of public services through AI, removing complex bureaucratic hurdles,” he said.

Dinesh Kumar said state IT and RTG Minister Nar Lokesh envisioned a unified search bar for citizens, providing seamless access to all government services at one place.

Additionally, state governments are working towards developing their own ChatGPT and using blockchain technology to simplify the distribution of essential certificates such as birth, death, caste, income, residence and educational qualification certificates through digital services. is doing

The IT department is actively pursuing these initiatives, seeking Google’s support with the government to help achieve these goals, Dinesh Kumar added.

Kumar said AI will bring transformative changes in governance. Google officials expressed their happiness to collaborate with Andhra Pradesh and assured the state of its commitment to the successful implementation of AI in government departments.
