The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) is inviting the public to visit its research centers and laboratories on January 3 and 4, 2025. Institute Open House 2025 is a special initiative under the Institute’s vision of ‘Annaivarkum IITM’ (IITM). IIT Madras for all).
Through this Open House, the general public can explore the research, technologies and academic environment of one of India’s premier institutes. The public will get to visit over 60 stalls showcasing research, projects and demos.
During the tour, the public will witness the innovation taking place at four national research centers and 11 institute research centers, as well as 15 centers of excellence and 90 advanced laboratories.

With an expected footfall of over one million website visits and over 60,000 visitors, this two-day event will take place on the first two days of Shastra – IIT Madras’ annual technology festival. Shastra is traditionally celebrated for four days and nights from January 3 to 7.
