Hyderabad: A team of the Western Task Force and the Banjara Hills Police arrested a trader, two consumers and seized two kilos of ganja and other criminal materials.
The accused, 21-year-old S Prem Kumar, who works as an animator, is a resident of Indiranagar. “He was found selling ganja to consumers near his house,” task force inspector E. Jangaiya said.
During the investigation, Premkumar has admitted that he brought ganja from Shankar, a local of Narasipatnam, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh due to insufficient income. Jangaiah quoted the accused as saying.
The accused was also wanted in a case under (Crime No. 1075 of 2020) registered at Narasipatnam Town Police Station, Visakhapatnam.
In addition, two kg of ganja, one motorcycle, three mobile phones and packing materials were recovered from the accused, according to the press release issued by DCP Task Force YV Sudhindra on Wednesday.
